The objective of this project is to develop a state-of-the-art and state-of-the-practice report to foster a better understanding of how to assess and evaluate seismic adequacy and performance of steel tubular pole structure and foundation system under seismic loads and differential ground displacements. The project will focus on developing analysis and design methodologies that address evaluating seismic performance of combined conductor-pole-foundation-soil interaction system including effects of soil-pile-structure interaction and differential ground displacements. Seismic loading demands and ground displacement demands used for design and analysis will be reviewed and assessed.
