The objective of this project is to prepare a state of the art report on how to develop simulated ampacity model using probabilistic weather data from airport or along the line (if available). The methodology should clearly outline how to develop dynamic line rating model followed by a sensitivity study of various weather parameters and its impact on probabilistic line ampacity simulations. The methodology should be demonstrated with an example problem for a 230kV AC line. The project will be pursued in two stages A questionnaire will be developed and responses will be sought from the members. Based on the responses and the information shared among the members, needs will be assessed and the second phase will be developed for the full methodology and the final report.
