This report describes the development, installation and operation of a multi-point Ozone monitoring system for air-cooled generators. The prototype system was installed at B.C. Hydro's Peace Canyon Generating Station and its operation evaluated over a period of several months.
Its primary application is to monitor ozone concentrations which could indicate generator winding degradation or would present a potential health hazard for plant operating personnel. It can also be incorporated as part of a machine or plant monitoring.
