Planning for Extreme Events:
A Water Management and Dam Safety Perspective

CEATI International’s Water Management Interest Group (WMIG) and Dam Safety Interest Group (DSIG) are hosting an industry workshop entitled “Planning for Extreme Events: A Water Management and Dam Safety Perspective” to take place on October 16-17, 2012 in Montreal, QC.

The event will provide an opportunity to share examples of how water managers and dam
safety engineers are adapting to climate variability through improved planning studies, event preparation, infrastructure assessment and operations, using risk management systems.

CEATI encourages your organization to actively participate as this will be an excellent forum for both knowledge transfer and networking for hydropower industry representatives at all levels.

CEATI Grounding and Lightning Workshop 2012

October 22-23, 2012 – Vancouver, BC

The Grounding and Lightning Workshop brings together grounding and lightning experts, providing an excellent opportunity for networking with consultants, manufacturers and representatives from leading electric utilities.

This workshop is a forum for the exchange of information related to grounding and lightning concerns, with a focus on technical presentations, training and the exchange of ideas and experiences for the benefit of the industry.

Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Deployment Guidelines

CEATI International is currently working with ECOtality to develop a national set of guidelines for electric vehicle charging infrastructure, based on the “Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Deployment Guidelines” developed for British Columbia.
