About the Role

As a Sales Executive, you’ll play a central role in CEATI’s growth by successfully selling CEATI memberships to electric utility organizations. Reporting to the SVP of Sales, you’ll be responsible for achieving new logo acquisition goals within an assigned territory, aligning utility priorities with CEATI’s suite of programs and services. This role focuses on strategic sales and offers the opportunity to collaborate across the organization. Sales cycles typically involve multiple stakeholders and consultative, value-based selling. Beyond day to-day engagement with members of the revenue team, you’ll work closely with our internal program teams to ensure successful alignment between utility needs and corresponding CEATI memberships.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed annual new-logo revenue quota targets within an assigned territory of utility accounts in North America and globally

• Build and maintain strong relationships with executive-level and senior technical stakeholders to understand their priorities and deliver a tailored vision for value and return on investment from investing in CEATI memberships

• Identify, qualify, and close new logo opportunities by aligning CEATI programs with member needs

• Provide strategic input into marketing campaign messaging and timing

• Collaborate with internal teams to handover new members to the onboarding team and partner with Customer Success Manager(s) to identify early expansion opportunities within the first 6-9 months following a new logo sale

• Monitor prospect feedback and proactively address product and messaging gaps with internal stakeholders

• Stay up to date on industry trends and competitor positioning, continuously refining your member outreach strategy

• Contribute to executive-level discussions on new product development based on direct market feedback

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

• 5+ years of B2B sales experience with demonstrated success achieving quota targets

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information

• Proven ability to develop trust-based relationships and work cross-functionally with internal teams

• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent time management skills

• Experience with CRM tools required; familiarity with HubSpot, ZoomInfo, or similar platforms preferred

• Comfort using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to enhance outreach, summarize content, and create client-facing materials

The following additional qualifications are highly valued:

• Experience in or strong interest in the electric power sector and energy innovation

• Experience selling memberships, subscriptions, or advisory services

• Experience selling into regulated industries or utilities• Familiarity with account-based selling strategies
