Discounted Passes:

  • Discount for purchasing 3 or more tickets for employees at the same company is 10% off ($1165.50 per General Admission ticket, $841.50 per CEATI Member ticket)
  • Discount for purchasing 5 or more tickets for employees at the same company is 25% off ($971.25 per General Admission ticket, $701.25 per CEATI Member ticket)
  • Students are eligible for 50% off if they provide proof of enrolment at a university or college. ($647.50 per ticket)

Presenter Guidelines

PRESENTER TIMELINE

Important Dates:

  • Abstracts due: 6 September 2022
  • Presenter award/regret notifications: 1 December 2022
  • Presenter acceptance of opportunity due: 9 January 2023
  • Deadline for draft presentations: 18 January 2023
  • Dealdline to register with complimentary speaker pass: 3 February 2023
  • Deadline for final presentations: 17 February 2023

PRESENTER GUIDELINES

Presentations should adhere to the guidelines set forth by CEATI International:

  • PowerPoint slides should be 16:9 ratio
  • Presenters must submit slides in PowerPoint format (.pptx/ .ppt) with a maximum of 25 slides
  • Presentations will be distributed to attendees in PDF form
  • Presentation time will be 35 minutes followed by 10 minutes for Q&A (45 minutes in total)
  • All presenters must register for the event and submit headshot and short biography (2-3 sentences)

Subsequent to submission, presenters may continue to revise presentations but must submit their revised files on flash drive at a minimum of one (1) day in advance of their scheduled presentation time.

In addition, the event will be monitored for unauthorized recording. By attending the CEATI event or accessing the event platform, you agree not to record or digitize any parts of the presentation, without CEATI’s express written consent.

Housing Warning!

Unauthorized Housing Companies Contacting Exhibitors & Attendees. It has come to our attention that unauthorized housing companies have been contacting CEATI International exhibitors and attendees via email and phone and in general, misrepresenting themselves as an official housing vendor for CEATI International. Room registrations should be made directly with the hotel as described above.

We highly caution you from engaging unauthorized companies because if/when issues arise, CEATI International management does not have the ability to provide assistance in solving them.

Hydropower Workforce Workshop (13th March, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM) - Ambassador 1-3

With one-half of the U.S. hydropower workforce retiring in the coming decade, the need to fill the workforce pipeline has never been more critical. In partnership with the Hydropower Foundation, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), will present U.S. workforce trends and the broader work produced through the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) Workforce Development project funded by the DOE’s Water Power Technologies Office. The workshop will also engage participants to identify common international challenges, trends and strategies to address hydropower industry workforce issues, with a goal of identifying best practices to strengthen the global hydropower industry.

Young Professionals (13th March, 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM) - Ambassador 1-3

The CEATI Young Professionals Group (YPG) is a networking, mentorship, and peer-to-peer support group of inspiring professionals who are new to the electric utility industry. All are welcome, but the target audience is those with less than 10 years of experience in the industry. The YPG networking event on March 13 will provide a focused, industry-open forum for young professionals to network with their peers across the energy sector, discuss common challenges, and share experiences and strategies for positive career growth.

GE Renewable technology demo (utilities only)(14th March, 12:45 PM-13:30 PM) - Rancho Mirage

GE Renewable Hydro will present details on the ongoing R&D development and planned commercial launch of new solutions to facilitate the maintenance of hydropower turbines by using remote operated robots to inspect and repair hydro turbines. GERE is confident this technology will unlock significant cost saving to utilities while eliminating human interaction in dangerous environments. The session access is limited to utilities as confidential information will be shared about the characteristics of the developed technologies. The session is structured to allow for discussion and Q&A from the invited audience.

 

Women in Power Networking Reception (15th March, 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM) - Rancho Mirage

CEATI’s Women in Power program aims to facilitate networking, promote engineering, and provide a forum for women in the industry to collaborate and share common challenges and strategies. All attendees welcome, drinks and appetizers will be served. The reception will include a panel discussion on the topic of embracing equity, the International Women's Day theme for 2023.
